Applied Spectral Imaging (ASI) is a global leader in biomedical imaging, offering a comprehensive product portfolio for Karyotyping, H&E, IHC, and FISH analysis. We provide Pathology, Cytogenetics, and Research laboratories with advanced imaging and analysis tools.


Location:

Territory-based role covering the Central U.S. Candidates must be based in the Central U.S


Key Responsibilities:

Sales and Account Management:

  • Achieve and exceed all quarterly and annual sales targets.
  • Act as an “Account Manager,” leading all activities related to assigned accounts before, during, and after the sales process.
  • Maintain a structured and organized sales process using defined methods and systems (e.g., Salesforce).
  • Develop and maintain an aggressive funnel of opportunities to achieve sales targets.
  • Track and manage the status of all open opportunities to ensure consistent progress toward closing deals.

  • Customer Engagement:

    • Create a list of sales prospects through thorough product and market analysis.
    • Initiate contact with new prospects and follow up on leads within the territory.
    • Cultivate and develop relationships with existing ASI customers, educating them about ASI’s product offerings.
    • Understand customers' specific business needs and recommend appropriate ASI solutions to meet those needs.
    • Communicate the benefits and competitive advantages of ASI products through effective product presentations.

     

    Territory Management and Travel:

    • Manage a large geographic territory and plan customer visits as needed.
    • Travel up to 50% of the time to engage with customers and attend events.
    • Represent ASI at conferences, events, and workshops as required.

     

    Collaboration and Reporting and Compliance:

    • Collaborate with ASI’s technical team on product demonstrations, customer support, and technical advice.
    • Participate in regular sales calls, training sessions, and meetings with ASI management.
    • Record all activities and customer updates in CRM (Salesforce).
    • Provide weekly progress reports on leads, accounts, and prospects, including a target of three customer meetings (virtual or face-to-face) per week.
    • Follow all corporate protocols and procedures for territory management, expense reimbursement, and related obligations.

     

    Market and Competitive Insights:

    • Assess and communicate market trends, competitive landscape, and collaboration opportunities to ASI.

     

    Qualifications:

     

    Required Education:

    Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or a related field – required.

    (e.g., Biology, Molecular Biology, Genetics, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Biomedical Sciences, Clinical Laboratory Sciences, or Pathology)

    Preferred Education:

    Advanced degree (M.Sc., MBA, MHA, or equivalent) – preferred.

     

    Required Experience:

    •  Experienced clinical pathology or genetic laboratory professional with expertise in analyzing samples for cytogenetics, FISH, and/or pathology techniques such H&E, IHC.- Mandatory.
    • Medical capital equipment sales experience with documented achievements and knowledge in Genetics, Biology, or Pathology, including familiarity with major laboratory technologies and equipment.- Advantage.

    Skills and Competencies:

    • Exceptional communication skills, including oral and written presentation abilities at an executive level.
    • Ability to understand and explain complex technical and medical terminology in simple terms.
    • Proven ability to manage a large geographic territory.
    • Strong organizational skills and a methodical approach to sales activities.
    • Comfortable working under pressure in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

    Additional Requirements:

    • Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
