Position Overview
We are seeking a Civil Engineer (PE) who is looking to move beyond routine design work. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex, real-world challenges related to water systems, infrastructure resilience, and climate adaptation.
You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team while continuing to grow into a technical and project leadership role.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, plan, and oversee civil engineering projects, including water management, drainage systems, site development, and infrastructure relocation.
- Conduct hydrological and hydraulic analysis to support watershed management and stormwater design.
- Collaborate with landscape architects, engineers, and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations.
- Develop and review civil engineering plans, designs, and reports for public and private sector projects.
- Support vulnerability assessments and adaptation strategies related to climate change and sea-level rise.
- Oversee construction processes, ensuring adherence to project plans, safety standards, and timelines.
- Provide technical guidance and leadership to junior engineers and project teams.
- Attend meetings with clients, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders to ensure alignment with project goals and requirements.
- Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources to ensure successful project delivery.
- Maintain knowledge of industry trends and emerging technologies related to civil engineering, water management, and sustainability.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil engineering, with a focus on water management and infrastructure.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
- Proven experience in hydrological and hydraulic design, drainage systems, and stormwater management.
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance and environmental standards.
- Proficiency in civil engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, HEC-RAS, StormCAD).
- Strong communication, organizational, and project management skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in an on-site environment.
