Shipping and Receiving Specialist (Grass Valley)

Experience is a plus, but not a necessity, we will train the right candidate. This person will work as a part of our manufacturing team and will be responsible for the shipping and receipt of all products, materials, and supplies.

Responsibilities
1. Performs tasks in accordance with company policies, procedures including safety, GMP & quality standards.
2. Manages the shipment and receipt of all products, materials, and supplies.
3. Collaborates and communicates with logistics technicians, customer service representatives, service providers, and others involved in the shipment and receipt of products.
4. Works as part of a cohesive team to meet customer needs in a timely and professional manner.
5. Maintains timely & effective communication with internal and external customers relating to orders, inventory and shipping.
6. Responds to requests and executes work with a sense of urgency & ownership. Utilizes support systems to minimize disruptions.
7. Escalation of unresolved issues to the Director of Manufacturing to ensure a timely resolution and effective customer communication.
8. Demonstrates a clear understanding of ASI Quality System.
9. Completes all related training within stated deadlines.
10. Maintains reports related to department activities as required by QMS and/or supervisor.
11. Other duties as required.
Essential Duties include (but not limited to)
- Checks goods received against bill of lading, purchase orders, or other documents to verify correctness
- Up-dates receiving log
- Inspect off the shelf items and places into stockroom
- Lot number custom parts, moves to incoming inspection, receives from inspection completes all paperwork and files, moves parts to stockroom
- Fishbowl (FB): receive parts in through FB moves them from receiving to proper location
- Kits work orders for manufacturing
- Move parts in FB adds tracking lot #’s and rev #’s to Work Orders
- Packages product for shipments
- Prints ASI labels for shipments
- Prints UPS labels for shipments
- Uses FB to move product and generates packaging slip· Updates shipping log
- Hand carries packages as needed
- Get quotes for domestic and international shipments
- Palletizes freight shipment
- Schedule shipping pickups accordingly
- Pack and ship items securely and in accordance with work instructions to prevent any damage during shipping
- Fill all customer orders with accuracy and timeliness
- Conducts cycle counts for inventory
- Adds parts to Kanban carts
- Keeps track of Kanban cards for ordering goods
- Stock service with needed goods
- Moves service goods in Fishbowl to the service department
Other Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid state driver’s license
- Prior experience in shipping & receiving OR a desire to learn
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, as well as the ability to learn and effectively use other computer software as required
- Must be able to lift 35#
