A successful candidate will work closely with project leadership teams and act as a n operational enabler to Principal Investigators , assisting them with a variety of efforts spanning project planning, tracking, reporting, finances, deliverables, and risk management , ultimately helping to ensure successful project execution and customer satisfaction.

Job Functions And Responsibilities
Assist Principal Investigators and Project Teams in the following key areas:
- Project Lifecycle & Planning: updat ing master schedules and tracking against deadlines, assisting in project planning, updating project management tools and associated tracking elements
- Delivery & Execution: track ing daily progress of project workstreams, helping to ensur e team members meet milestones, prepar ing progress reports
- Resource & Financial Management: track ing project spending against budget, compar ing actuals to forecasts, coordinat ing resources with stakeholders to ensure task completion
- Stakeholder & Team Communication: coordinat ing between project members and vendors or subcontractors, distribut ing progress updates to stakeholders, managing and distributing meeting minutes, track ing and communicat ing action items, facilitat ing communication among team members and stakeholders
- Risk & Change Management: conduct ing basic risk monitoring to identify financial, schedule, or technical variance from plan and alert project leadership to potential impacts
- Bachelor’s degree
- with 2 years of professional experience in project administration or a similar area , or an advanced degree (MBA or Masters) in project management.
- Strong communication skills, proficient at active listening and conveying status updates to various stakeholders, able to interface effectively between technical staff and project leadership
- Experience maintaining a project schedule, proficient with project management software, experience tracking technical deliverables and managing project artifacts
- Experience leading project-related meetings and tracking work from others
- Experience identifying potential bottlenecks and other risks in project schedules
- Strong organization skills, note taking, and following up on actions
- Proficiency in MS Project, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint
- Ability to work proactively and adapt in a cross functional, fast paced environment
- E xperi ence supporting project management in a technical or research & development environment
- Prior experience supporting DoD or acquisition projects
- Experience working in a dynamic, multidisciplinary engineering environment
- Professional certification: C APM, D AWIA , or similar
- Experience in technical writing, system documentation & supporting new business proposals/bids
- Familiarity with engineering development, lifecycles and documentation standards
- Understanding of broader system integration , verification , and test planning processes
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and dynamically balance shifting priorities
- Detail oriented with the ability to prioritize and organize daily schedules
- Experience in Dynamic s 365 P roject S ervice A utomation or P roject Operations
