What are the responsibilities and job description for the HR Operations Coordinator position at Applied Optoelectronics, Inc.?
Summary
The HR Operations Coordinator will be involved in a wide range of HR-related activities, including onboarding, training management, and payroll support. He/she will also team up with others on value-added project work. Initially, the coordinator will focus on tactical activities. As we transition to more automated processes, our intention is for the coordinator to take on additional responsibilities, including more strategic ones.
Job Duties
- Foster welcoming onboarding and conduct or assist with new hire admin-related onboarding
- Management of ADP learning management system, ClearCompany, SimpleVMS
- Time and Attendance management and assist in processing payroll in a timely manner to ensure accuracy of employee earnings, contributions, deductions, garnishments, etc
- Setting up employees time and attendance facial or biometric recognition.
- Assists with the administration of employee profiles and answering any HR related inquiries
- Support the monthly premium reconciliation process.
- Prepare and maintain employee files, assuring accuracy, compliance, and confidentiality.
- Collaborate with the Talent Acquisition team and perform cross-functional tasks.
- Promote and support Employee Wellness programs.
- Occasionally assist managers with generating reports.
- Assist with day-to-day administrative duties and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or a related field is preferred
- Previous experience in HR administration is preferred
- Previous experience with a Human Resource Information System, ADP Workforce Now/Comprehensive is preferred
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion at all times
- Excellent organizational skills, with an ability to prioritize
- Proficient in MS Office applications
- Energetic, positive attitude, flexible, and highly organized
- Strong interest in a career in Human Resources
- Bilingual in Mandarin Chinese, Spanish, or Vietnamese is a plus

This position will be on-site based in Sugar Land, Texas.
