The Position
AGES has a full-time, permanent opening for an entry-level Environmental Field Scientist/Technician to perform site remediation and field sampling. Work includes sampling groundwater, soil, sediment, and other media and may include overseeing monitoring well drilling/installation and field remediation projects. The role requires overnight travel in Ohio, Pennsylvania, Indiana, West Virginia, Michigan, Wisconsin, and other states, with no typical weekend work. The position is based in our office in Clinton, Pennsylvania.
Qualifications
- BS/BA in Geology, Environmental Science, or a related field preferred; previous environmental field experience may substitute for a degree
- No prior experience required
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask
- 40-hour HAZWOPER training, or willingness to obtain it
- Willingness to travel extensively and work overtime, as needed
