What are the responsibilities and job description for the Product Specialist position at Applied Fluid Power?
We’re seeking a results-driven Product Specialist to grow our fluid connector business across the Central Gulf Region (Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, and the Florida Panhandle). This role combines technical expertise and sales, working closely with an outside sales team and directly with customers to deliver high-performance hose and fitting solutions.

What You’ll Do
- Partner with the outside sales team to expand OEM and end-user accounts across the region.
- Work directly with customers to recommend hose, fittings, adapters, and connector solutions.
- Troubleshoot issues (leaks, failures) and provide on-site technical support.
- Develop quotes, bills of material, and support project opportunities.
- Deliver product presentations and identify new business opportunities.
- Maintain CRM activity and manage forecasts.
- 3 years of technical sales experience (fluid connectors, hydraulics, or related)
- Strong knowledge of hose & fittings, thread types, and system applications
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
- Parker Hannifin product experience is a plus.
- High school Diploma or GED required.
- Bachelor’s degree (technical or business preferred) or equivalent work experience.
- Applicants must have an acceptable driving record.
