Board Certified Behavior Analyst Job Description
Full-Time Position
The Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) is responsible for providing behavior analytic assessment, treatment and behavior plan development, and case supervision for children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The BCBA will provide supervision and training of the behavior technicians providing direct therapy for children in their homes, community, and/or school settings.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assess, develop, implement and collaborate on behavioral interventions for a client caseload
- Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA) and develop Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP)
- Conduct regular data analysis of behavior analytic instruction and program effects
- Maintain compliant records and data related to behavioral programing
- Conduct training and supervision of behavior therapists
- Conduct parent-training
- Provide support and coordination for home programs
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
- Abide by code of ethics as indicated by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board
- Accept and implement constructive feedback in a professional manner
- Maintain client confidentiality and adhere to HIPPA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) laws
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with clients, co-workers, supervisors, and community members
- Perform other job-related duties as needed
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification
- Licensed Applied Behavior Analyst (LABA) in Massachusetts
- At least one year experience working in home-based setting preferred
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Must have access to a reliable insured vehicle and be willing to travel between job sites
- Must have access to a computer and Internet data plan that meet minimum specifications
SCHEDULE:
Full-time employees maintain 24 hours direct service with clients per week. Employees are not to exceed 40 hours per week.
EDUCATION:
- Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis
- Up-to-date CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) and First Aid certification
