Overview Of Position
Supervise work area technicians to achieve the efficient use of labor and the maintenance of product quality.
Essential Job Functions
- Directs work area technicians include daily assignments, meetings, discipline, training, vacation scheduling, and time and attendance system accuracy.
- Working with PM’s and ME’s and Production Coordinators to ensure that production schedules and quality standards are maintained.
- Works with ME’s Production Coordinators to ensure that planning and resources (materials and personnel) are available to support production.
- Assign tasks and explain procedures to technicians. Trains and coaches’ technicians on assigned tasks.
- Identify resources needed to complete projects on time and within budget.
- Responsible for work area safety issues and housekeeping.
- Shifts technicians to other work areas depending on project requirements per PM’s request.
- Maximizes labor efficiency and productivity.
- Requires an Associate Degree or its equivalent with 2-5 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
- Familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures within a particular field.
- Strong supervisory skills.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and team orientation.
- Have good computer and communication skills.
