Releases and manages work orders from inception to completion using MRP system.

Overview Of Position
Releases and manages work orders from inception to completion using MRP system.
Essential Job Functions
- Create, monitor & update work orders in accordance with MPS/MRP planned order requirements.
- Track W/Os from material kitting through closing.
- Follow/expedite work orders through all operations and processes in sufficient time to meet completion dates.
- Assist and support manufacturing activities through operations across shared work centers and assist in keeping assigned products on schedule.
- Coordinate any shortages/material replacement with program teams and store.
- Provide status of work in progress, material availability, and potential production problems to ensure that personnel, equipment, materials, and services are provided as needed.
- Generate shipping documents using MRP.
- Monitor WIP inventory levels to ensure accuracy.
- EXPERIENCE
- EDUCATION:
- High energy multitasker who takes initiative and can work independently.
- Requires a high school diploma and 2-5 years of experience using MRP/ERP system in a manufacturing environment.
- Prior experience as a production planner, materials planner or similar role in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Working knowledge of MS Office to include Excel, Work and Outlook.
- Strong communication skills to ensure good relationships with shared work centers.
- Knowledge of manufacturing and supply chain concepts and parts flow.
- Exceptional organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
- Attention to detail and a practical, solution-oriented approach to problems.
- Ability to work under pressure and prioritize competing demands.
