The salary range for this role is $70,000-$85,000. This is the lowest to highest salary we reasonably and in good faith believe we would pay for this open role at the time of this posting. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include (but are NOT limited to) the following:
- Monitor and enforce safe working practices/ procedures that comply with company and regulatory safety policies.
- Is Point of Contact (PoC) for maintenance requests and activities.
- Is available for off-hours calls to coordinate maintenance personnel callback when emergencies or urgent matters occur.
- Is available to work urgent matters (that are infrequent) after normal workdays, or planned Saturday major maintenance activities.
- Supervise high to lower skills personnel that include electricians, mechanics, general maintenance, and janitors.
- Recognize priorities and urgent matters with appropriate response and resources.
- Communicate urgent matters to supervise Facilities Engineer & Plant Engineer.
- Conduct daily crew meetings to communicate assignments and information.
- Determine, procure, and allocate resources for maintenance activities.
- Maintain a planned and organized maintenance work order schedule.
- Monitor and address overdue open work orders to avoid lost ones and complete low priority ones.
- Coordinate and confirm task schedule between requestor and assigned personnel.
- Review completed work orders for content and address comments or questions with assigned personnel.
- Coordinate issuance and closure of work orders and schedules with Plant Engineering planner.
- Monitor personnel skills and initiate training, cross training, and guidance for effectiveness, team growth, and safety.
- Maintain and demand a clean, organized, stocked and ready shop environment.
- Perform weekly, if not daily, random plant area inspections specifically to find repair, maintenance, safety, or housekeeping issues to be corrected. Urgent or preventive.
- Monitor and manage overtime to match schedule demands with cost effectiveness.
- Manage maintenance supplies, parts, tools, and equipment for availability and budget.
- Perform time and attendance verifications and updates as required.
- Communicate with contracted services (hvac, janitorial, landscaping, uniforms, etc.)
- Become proficient and best skill operator of maintenance software.
- Support QA Department audits and provides maintenance documentation.
- Sets the example of a team leader through behavior and actions.
- Formal training or certification in supervisory skills (including military experience) is a plus.
- Minimum of seven (7) years of industrial (or relatable) maintenance experience.
- Minimum of three (3) years of industrial maintenance supervision.
- Working knowledge/ experience of skills being performed by subordinates (Electrical, Mechanical, HVAC, Plumbing, Controls, Haz Mat, and Janitorial.
- Working knowledge of equipment and tools within area of responsibility.
- Possesses proficient computer skills with experience in maintenance software.
