- Bachelor’s degree in digital technology or similar.
- State of NH Teaching Certification as Digital Learning Specialist (0305 Endorsement).
- Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience for the appropriate grade levels (K-6).
- A Valid driver’s license is required.
- Travels to school district buildings and professional meetings as required.
- Knowledge of elementary school curriculum and concepts.
- Knowledge of applicable federal and state laws regarding education and students.
Responsibilities of the Position:
- Provides materials and curriculum that are engaging and age appropriate for students (K-6).
- In person consultation on-site minimum 2x per month- required.
- Regular and predictable attendance and presence at respective center is an essential requirement of position.
- Provides learning experiences in the digital learning and technology guided by the NH state curriculum guidelines and district standards and requirements, while creating an environment that is conducive to a student’s learning and involvement.
- Promotes a classroom environment that is safe and conducive to individualized and small group instruction, and student learning.
- Develops lesson plans and instructional materials and translates lesson plans into learning experiences so as to best utilize the available time for instruction.
- Plan a program of study that meets individual needs, interests, and abilities of students.
- Ability to apply knowledge of current research and theory to instructional programs.
- Ability to plan and coordinate lessons based on school objectives and the needs and abilities of a range of students.
- Employ instructional methods for the knowledge of ethical, responsible use of technology tools in a society that relies heavily on knowledge of information in its decision-making.
- Use knowledge of digital tools to foster proficiency in the use of technology to access, manage, integrate, evaluate, and create information within the context of the core subjects of Reading, Mathematics, English and language arts, Science, Social Studies, Arts and World Languages
- Use technology to develop cognitive proficiency in Literacy, Numeracy, Problem solving, Decision making and Spatial/visual literacy.
- Guide the learning process toward the achievement of curriculum goals, and in harmony with these goals, establish clear objectives for all lessons, units, and projects, to communicate these objectives to students.
- Counsel with colleagues, students, and/or parents/guardians on a regular basis.
- Plan and supervise purposeful assignments for all who come under his/her charge including student teachers, aides, volunteers, and in cooperation with department heads, evaluate the job performance of each.
