SUMMARY
The Human Resource Consultant performs a variety of tasks within the realm of Human Resources, including, but not limited to compensation and benefits; diversity, equity, and inclusion; employee relations; organizational and employee development; talent acquisition; and risk management.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
· Accepts assignments to provide services to clients, which may be performed in the Company office, remotely, or at the client’s place of business.
· Assignments may include:
o Auditing Human Resource departments to compare processes and policies to compliance standards and best practices.
o Conducting compensation analysis to ensure a competitive advantage for the client and fair wages for the employees.
o Researching benefits, to make recommendations for cost reduction and/or added value to employees.
o Offering suggestions and possibly implementing activities and programs, which promote diversity, equity, and inclusion.
o Executing performance management systems to increase employee engagement for clients.
o Creating and possibly guiding training programs to address areas for improvement for clients.
o Handling employment-related inquiries from client staffers.
o Participating in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
o Identifying areas of risk for clients and offering recommendations for best practices.
o Performing all talent acquisition functions, to assist the client in recruiting, interviewing, and facilitating the hire of new employees.
o Maintaining compliance with Federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices.
o Retaining knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in all areas of Human Resources.
o Performing other duties, as assigned by the CEO and/or the Director of Operations.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position does not require supervisory responsibilities.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
REQUIRED:
· Associate degree (or higher) in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
· Minimum of two (2) years of professional work experience in a Human Resources role.
· Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on service.
· Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
· Ability to follow compliance standards and practices.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate, when appropriate.

· Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
· Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
· Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn HRIS and talent management systems.
· Certification from the Human Resource Certification Institute (HRCI) or the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM).
PREFERRED:
· Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Human Resource Management.
· Four (4) years or more of professional work experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
· Excellent verbal and written communication should be professional and accurate.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
· Understanding of simple math, as it relates to assisting with budgets and cost comparisons.
REASONING ABILITY
· Analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills are required.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
REQUIRED:
· Valid Driver’s License.
· Certification from the Human Resource Certification Institute (HRCI) or the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM).

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
· Starting Salary: $50,000 per year.
· Medical and Dental for Full-Time Employee; employer pays 50% of premium for employee.
· Holidays:
o New Year’s Day (January 1);
o Good Friday (Friday before Easter);
o Memorial Day (last Monday in May);
o Independence Day (July 4);
o Labor Day (first Monday in September);
o Thanksgiving (fourth Thursday in November) and the following Friday; and
o Christmas (December 25) with possibility of day before or day after.
· Paid Time Off Bi-Weekly Accrual:
-- Employment date through 90 days = 0 hours = 0 days
-- After 1st 90 days to 1st anniversary = 5.05 hours per pay period = 12 days
-- 1st Anniversary through month of 3rd anniversary = 3.69 hours per pay period = 12 days
-- Month of 3rd anniversary = 5.23 hours per pay period = 17 days
-- Month of 7th anniversary = 6.77 hours per pay period = 22 days
-- Month of 10th anniversary = 8.31 hours per pay period = 27 days
· Wellness Days: one day per quarter, to be scheduled in December of the prior year.
· Gas Allowance: $30 per week, on Company credit card.
· Cell Phone Reimbursement (including hotspot): up to $1200 per year, paid monthly.
· Residential Internet / WiFi Reimbursement: up to $600 per year, paid monthly.
