This is 24 months long, 100% onsite contract role in Fremont, CA 94538. Regular shift M-F.
We are seeking a highly motivated Test Development & Automation Engineer to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in test automation, Python development, and test stand creation for product development and manufacturing environments.
This role will be responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and deploying cost-effective testing solutions and automated test systems using industry best practices.
Required Qualifications:
- Strong experience with Python programming for test automation.
- Hands-on experience in test development and test automation frameworks.
- Experience creating and deploying test stands and test fixtures.
- Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills for hardware and systems.
- Experience with validation, manufacturing testing, or product testing environments.
- Ability to create clear technical documentation and procedures.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement automated test solutions for product development and manufacturing.
- Develop and maintain Python-based test automation scripts and diagnostic programs.
- Create and deploy test stands, fixtures, and validation equipment.
- Perform system-level testing, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
- Prepare test procedures, specifications, and technical documentation.
- Support new product introduction (NPI) and manufacturing validation activities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering and manufacturing teams.
- Plan testing schedules, labor requirements, and equipment utilization.
- Ensure testing processes follow industry standards and best practices.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with hardware/software integration testing.
- Familiarity with electronics, embedded systems, or manufacturing environments.
- Knowledge of industry testing standards and automation best practices.
