Social Media Specialist - Answer Engine Optimization (AEO)

Job Overview

911 EMT Appliance Repair is hiring a Social Media Specialist focused on Answer Engine Optimization (AEO). Your job is to create a high volume of FAQ-style video and social content so that when homeowners ask AI assistants and search engines questions about broken appliances, our brand is the answer they get. This is a content-heavy, fast-paced role where you will produce a minimum of 3 posts per day, engage with local online communities, and build our brand from the ground up across every major social platform.

Responsibilities

• Create and publish FAQ-style social media posts daily, including short-form videos, static posts, and carousels.
• Build and maintain a running FAQ question bank researched from AI tools, Google autocomplete, Reddit, appliance forums, and real customer inquiries.
• Coordinate with repair technicians to capture authentic on-the-job footage during real repairs.
• Ensure all video content includes accurate, word-for-word captions for AI transcription and indexing.
• Join and actively participate in local Facebook groups, neighborhood groups, mom/dad groups, and homeowner communities — answering appliance questions, offering helpful advice, and building brand trust.
• Engage with major appliance brand accounts (GE, Samsung, LG, Whirlpool, etc.) to increase brand visibility and entity association.
• Respond to all comments, DMs, and mentions on company social accounts promptly.
• Monitor local social media conversations for homeowners with appliance problems and proactively engage.
• Conduct AEO audits — test target queries across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, and Bing Copilot to track brand citation appearances.
• Report monthly on content volume, AI citation appearances, engagement rates, community activity, and inbound leads from social.

Qualifications

Required:

• 1–3 years of experience managing social media accounts and creating content (professional or freelance).
• Demonstrated ability to produce high-volume content consistently without sacrificing quality.
• Experience filming and editing short-form vertical video on a smartphone using CapCut, InShot, Adobe Premiere Rush, or similar tools.
• Strong writing skills — ability to write clear, conversational FAQ-style content that sounds like a real person, not a marketing department.
• Understanding of how AI answer engines (ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity, Bing Copilot) work and how they source content. You know what AEO is and why it matters.
• Experience engaging authentically in online communities (Facebook groups, Reddit, forums, neighborhood apps) to build trust without spamming.
• Comfortable being on camera or directing others (technicians) on camera.
• Self-motivated with strong time management — able to split time between content creation, community engagement, and reporting without supervision.
• Proficiency with major social platforms: YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook.

Preferred:

• Experience in home services, trades, or local service business marketing.
• Knowledge of major appliance brands, common problems, and error codes.
• Portfolio showing high-volume FAQ or educational video content.
• Experience using AI tools as research and brand monitoring tools.
• Understanding of how social content feeds AI training data and entity recognition.

Schedule & Work Environment

• Full-time or contract position.
