About the Opportunity
We are partnered with a leading national builder that is seeking an experienced Superintendent to join its growing team in Pocatello, Idaho. This organization is recognized for delivering complex commercial, institutional, healthcare, education, industrial, and public-sector projects throughout the United States.
The Superintendent will play a key leadership role in the successful execution of ground-up and large-scale construction projects, overseeing all field operations while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and schedule performance.
Position Overview
The Superintendent is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising all on-site construction activities from project inception through completion. This individual will work closely with Project Managers, subcontractors, owners, and design teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in accordance with contract requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Field Operations Leadership
- Direct and coordinate all daily construction activities on site.
- Manage subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel to ensure efficient project execution.
- Develop and maintain short-term and long-term construction schedules.
- Coordinate site logistics, sequencing, and manpower planning.
Safety Management
- Promote and enforce a strong safety culture across all project operations.
- Conduct regular safety meetings, inspections, and audits.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
- Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions when necessary.
Quality Control
- Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and quality standards.
- Coordinate inspections and testing requirements.
- Manage punch list activities and project closeout processes.
- Ensure work is completed in accordance with contract documents and owner expectations.
Project Coordination
- Collaborate with Project Managers regarding schedule updates, procurement, and project milestones.
- Participate in owner, architect, and subcontractor meetings.
- Coordinate material deliveries and subcontractor activities to maintain project schedules.
- Assist in identifying and resolving field issues before they impact project performance.
Schedule & Production Management
- Monitor project progress against established schedules.
- Identify potential delays and implement recovery plans when necessary.
- Drive productivity and ensure efficient utilization of labor and resources.
Qualifications
- 5 years of Superintendent experience within commercial construction.
- Experience delivering ground-up commercial, institutional, healthcare, education, industrial, or public-sector projects.
- Strong understanding of construction means and methods.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Proven experience managing multiple trades and subcontractors.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Preferred Experience
- Experience with large-scale public, higher education, healthcare, federal, or industrial projects.
- Background working for a general contractor on projects valued at $20M .
- Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, or similar construction management software.

Salary : $140,000 - $175,000
