Senior Project Manager – Heavy Civil

We are partnering with a leading heavy civil contractor that is expanding its presence in the Phoenix market and looking to add an experienced Senior Project Manager to its team.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in heavy civil construction, with experience managing complex projects from preconstruction through completion.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the successful delivery of large-scale heavy civil construction projects from preconstruction through project closeout.
• Manage project budgets, schedules, contracts, procurement, and overall financial performance.
• Coordinate with owners, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, and internal project teams to ensure project objectives are achieved.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to Project Managers, Project Engineers, and other project personnel.
• Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement effective solutions to maintain schedule and budget.
• Manage change orders, contract negotiations, cost control, and project documentation.
• Ensure projects are delivered in accordance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and project stakeholders.
• Support business development, estimating, and preconstruction efforts where required.
• Promote a collaborative and accountable project team environment.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• 5 years of experience in heavy civil construction, with a proven track record of managing complex projects.
• Previous experience as a Senior Project Manager or in a similar leadership position.
• Experience delivering large-scale infrastructure projects, such as:
• Pipeline and utility infrastructure
• Transportation and highway projects
• Industrial and large-scale civil infrastructure
• Strong understanding of project financial management, scheduling, contracts, and risk management.
• Experience managing project teams and overseeing multiple stakeholders.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline preferred.
• Willingness to travel as required based on project needs.
