Summary:
True Bear Engineering, LLC, d/b/a Appleton Control Systems (ACS) is a small engineering-focused company that builds electrical controls and mechanical systems for harsh environments, including mining, marine, industrial and defense markets. By the nature of being a small company, each employee has a broad range of responsibilities, and ACS is looking for a person who is willing to work within the team and offer support, which is sometimes outside of their direct responsibilities.
The Project Engineer is responsible for the engineering aspects of assigned projects. They will perform calculations, structural analysis, CAD modelling, drafting, estimating and creating BOMs. They will lead projects through design, manufacturing, and testing, being responsible for completing them on schedule and to the satisfaction of the customer. This role may require the Project Engineer to assign and track the tasks of others in the engineering team assigned to their project.
The Project Engineer must have a mechanical engineering background and understand integration with control systems. They must be capable of performing detailed calculations, analysis, and design in their specific field of engineering.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
· Provide engineering documentation for equipment such as, drawings, 3D CAD models, 2D CAD, technical and operation manuals, bills of material, and customer submittals
· Perform calculations and analysis.
· Create estimates.
· Create requisitions for purchase of material.
· Track the engineering tasks of a project.
· Provide direction for assembly of equipment in coordination with the shop technicians.
· Help manage costs for equipment and projects.
· All other reasonable duties as requested by their supervisor.
