Job Overview
A Massage Therapist is a trained healthcare professional who uses the power of touch to help clients alleviate pain, reduce stress, and promote relaxation. As a Massage Therapist, you will work with clients of different ages and backgrounds to identify their specific needs and develop personalized treatment plans. You will use your knowledge of anatomy and physiology to manipulate soft tissues such as muscles, tendons, and ligaments, using various techniques such as kneading, stretching, and pressure application. Your work will require critical thinking, communication, and listening skills, as you assess clients’ needs, adapt to their feedback, and provide guidance on post-treatment care.
Responsibilities
- Provide massages to clients to relieve pain, reduce stress, and improve overall wellbeing
- Assess clients’ physical conditions, medical history, and lifestyle to determine the best massage technique.
- Educate clients on self-care, exercises, and stretches to enhance their health and prevent future injuries.
- Keep massage room clean, organized, and well-equipped for each session.
- Maintain detailed documentation of each session, including patient progress and treatment details, ensuring compliance with medical standards.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure integrated care.

- Solid understanding of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to massage therapy.
- Supports, cooperates with, and implements specific procedures and programs for: - Safety, including universal precautions and safe work practices, established fire/safety/disaster plans, risk management, and security, report and/or correct unsafe working conditions, equipment repair, and maintenance needs.- Confidentiality of all data, including resident, employee, and operations data.- Quality assurance and compliance with all regulatory requirements. - Compliance with current law and policy to provide a work environment free from sexual harassment and all illegal and discriminatory behavior.
- Knowledge of occupational health principles to support clients’ workplace wellness needs.
Pay: $23.21 - $34.43 per hour
