Job Overview
Our Infant Center is open and we are looking for a passionate and dedicated Certified Infant Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will create a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children, fostering their social, emotional, and cognitive development. This role requires a strong understanding of childhood development principles and the ability to implement engaging activities for Infants 2-16 months. You must be certified to be a Lead Teacher. Please do not apply if you are not certified or have at least 2 EEC classes.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards.
- Foster a safe and inclusive classroom environment where children feel valued and respected.
- Monitor and assess children's progress through standardized testing and observational assessments.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's development, behavior, and any concerns.
- Incorporate physical education activities to promote healthy habits and physical development.
- Utilize Montessori methods or other educational philosophies as appropriate to enhance learning experiences.
- Support children with special education needs by adapting lessons and providing individualized attention.
- Maintain a clean, organized classroom that promotes exploration and learning.
- Collaborate with fellow educators to create a cohesive learning experience across the preschool curriculum.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of early childhood education principles and childhood development theories.
- Experience in daycare or preschool settings is highly desirable.
- Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Familiarity with standardized testing methods for assessing child development.
- Understanding of Montessori educational practices is a plus.
- Patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for working with young children.
- Strong organizational skills to manage classroom activities effectively.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate various learning styles.
