Our client, a well-established engineering and consulting firm specializing in coastal building restoration, is seeking a Project Engineer for their Daytona Beach office.
About the Role
Duties would include conducting building assessment condition surveys, development of building condition reports and budgets, consultation with building owners for questions and decision-making, executing the competitive contractor bid processes, and construction project management and oversight. This role is based in Daytona Beach and covers from New Smyrna Beach to Jacksonville.
Responsibilities
- Work effectively with other company team members to achieve project and company objectives.
- Assist in developing new project opportunities.
- Work closely with clients and contractors to achieve successful project outcomes.
- Establish and maintain long-term relationships with clients and contractors.
- Carry out building inspections and develop accurate budget estimates.
- Establish practical project options for consideration.
- Prepare bid packages for projects that minimize unknowns.
- Ensure projects are completed to the highest industry standards.
- Manage and track project budgets to assure anticipated funding needs.
Required Skills
- An active Florida PE (Professional Engineer) is preferred (license in hand or imminent licensure).
- Experience in coastal building restoration, waterproofing and/or roofing highly preferred.
- Skills with relevant software, including AutoCAD, BlueBeam, Office Suite, DropBox, OneDrive, QuickBase, FastField, etc.
Pay range and compensation package
Salary range $90K – $120k based on experience, plus expenses, vehicle allowance, gas reimbursement. Benefits include flexible work schedule, health insurance, dental/vision insurance, 401k, performance bonuses, and paid vacation/holidays.
