Technical Sales & Account Manager
Chemicals & Packaging
Seeking an experienced sales professional who knows how to build relationships, grow business, and manage key accounts. This role focuses on industrial chemicals and packaging and includes responsibility for existing multi-million-dollar accounts.
This organization distributes and represents chemical and packaging product lines across a wide range of industries including coatings, plastics, agriculture, janitorial, and energy. Backed by a strong supplier network, the team is focused on delivering high-quality product expertise, market coverage, and service.
Responsibilities
• Hit annual sales and profitability targets
• Manage and grow existing accounts
• Prospect, develop, and close new business
• Build and maintain strong relationships with manufacturers and suppliers
• Track market activity including competition, pricing, regulations, and new opportunities
• Develop new and existing product lines across:
• Chemicals: coatings, plastics, additives, adhesives, sealants, composites, lubricants, personal care, water treatment
• Packaging: drums, IBCs, bottles, pails, cans, closures, corrugate, shipping materials
Minimum Qualifications
• 5 years of experience in a relevant field
(chemical distribution, chemical engineering, industrial packaging, raw materials, related)
OR
• 10 years of sales experience with strong chemistry/industry knowledge
OR
• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Materials Science, Packaging, or related 3 years’ experience
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience selling chemicals, raw materials, or packaging
• Proven sales success
• Strong technical understanding of chemistry or engineering
• Strong communication, customer support, problem-solving, organization, and follow-through

Salary : $90,000 - $110,000
