Our Client is Hiring a Senior Accountant
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Senior Accountant to join their growing accounting team. The Senior Accountant will play a key role in maintaining the integrity of financial records, supporting month-end and year-end close activities, analyzing financial data, and partnering with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate reporting and compliance. This position offers exposure to budgeting, forecasting, inventory accounting, and financial analysis while working closely with leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with monthly financial reporting, financial statements, and management reporting packages.
Prepare month-end journal entries, including accruals and intercompany transactions.
Reconcile general ledger and balance sheet accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Support inventory accounting activities, including physical inventory counts, inventory adjustments, and BOM-related processes.
Assist with payroll processing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and annual 1099 preparation.
Create wire transfers and support ACH and banking activities.
Partner with the Controller on budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning initiatives.
Review general ledger activity and perform account analysis.
Prepare sales tax reporting and assist with business tax filings and tax research.
Maintain fixed asset records and ensure accurate depreciation calculations.
Support month-end close activities for multiple locations.
Assist with audits and special projects as needed.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
3–5 years of progressive accounting experience.
Experience in a Senior Accountant or similar role.
Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables and data analysis.
Experience with ERP systems and accounting software.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
