Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, submit, and track building permits across Volusia County, including DeLand, Ormond Beach, Daytona Beach, Deltona, Port Orange, New Smyrna Beach, and Edgewater.
- Manage jurisdiction-specific permitting portals, applications, fee payments, notices of commencement, resubmittals, and plan review responses.
- Monitor permit status, maintain accurate tracking logs, and communicate updates that support construction schedules.
- Coordinate permit-related inspections with field personnel, construction staff, municipalities, and inspectors.
- Identify permitting delays, outstanding issues, or missing documentation and escalate concerns to the Project Manager and construction team.
- Assemble Certificates of Occupancy and closeout documentation while maintaining organized project files and permit records.
- Direct hire opportunity.
- Salary range: $55,000 to $65,000 per year, depending on experience.
- Full-time schedule.
- Office-based role with local travel throughout Volusia County as needed.
- Location: DeLand, FL.
- Reports to the Project Manager.
