What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mailroom Specialist position at AppleOne Employment Services?
This position has the potential to transition to permanent employment. Mandatory attendance is required during the middle two weeks of each month, and overtime may be offered to permanent employees.
Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
(Unpaid 1-hour lunch two paid 15-minute breaks)
Location: 4717 Grand Ave, Suite 500, Kansas City, MO 64112
On-site Position — Free Parking Included
Responsibilities
Fulfill orders according to customer specifications (staging/printing/collating/packing)
Utilize FedEx Shipping Manager and customer shipping software
Operate high-volume duplicating, production, sorting, mailing, and bindery equipment
Conduct scanning/imaging, quality control, and final product checks
Maintain copier functionality through basic troubleshooting and repairs
Perform shipping and receiving duties and electronic document storage
Maintain reports, records, inventory logs, and job tracking in Google Documents
Respond to and coordinate service calls as needed
Assist with filing and archiving
Operate equipment such as bindery tools and paper cutters
Pack, wrap, and carry boxes up to 50 lbs from counter to cart
Perform other duties as assigned
Reporting to: Site Manager / Site Leader
Requirements
High school diploma or GED required
1–2 years of related work experience
Previous Copy/print Production Experience Preferred
Proficiency with MS Office Suite; strong computer skills required
Familiarity with copiers and print equipment; basic repair skills preferred
Knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures is a plus
Experience Reading Technical Documentation (manuals, Parts Catalogs) Preferred
Ability to work independently and adapt to shifting priorities
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills; keen attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication and customer service skills
Ability to stand for most of the day; role includes physical movement and lifting
