What are the responsibilities and job description for the Construction Accountant position at AppleOne Employment Services?
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and maintain all aspects of accounts payable and accounts receivable for construction projects
Process vendor invoices, subcontractor payments, and customer billings
Track job costs and ensure accuracy in project budget reporting
Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts
Prepare financial reports and assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures
Monitor project budgets and assist project managers with financial tracking
Maintain organized records of all financial transactions
Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies
Assist with audits and provide supporting documentation as needed
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance (required)
Minimum 2 years of accounting experience in the construction industry
Proficient in QuickBooks
Strong knowledge of Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable processes
Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and deadlines
Strong communication skills and a collaborative team player
