Qualifications
- Positive and respectful attitude toward older adults, including frail elders and individuals with dementia
- Ability to read, write, and follow written directions in English
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Mature judgment and ability to manage staff and job demands
- Experience in healthcare or hotel housekeeping/laundry preferred but not required
- Must pass state-mandated criminal background check and random drug testing
- $22.00 - $23.00 per hour

- 2% pay increase after 90 days with satisfactory performance
- Annual merit-based increases based on performance evaluation
Housekeeping & Laundry Operations
- Ensure thorough cleaning of all resident apartments and common areas (vacuuming, dusting, bathroom/kitchen cleaning, window washing, etc.)
- Oversee proper use, labeling, and storage of chemicals and equipment; maintain Safety Data Sheets (SDS)
- Ensure all flat linens and resident personal laundry are cleaned, sanitized, dried, folded, and returned promptly
- Follow manufacturer recommendations for fabric care, stain removal, and ironing as needed
- Maintain odor-free, sanitary conditions throughout the building
- Hire, train, supervise, and schedule all housekeeping and laundry personnel
- Use ON SHIFT for scheduling, time management, and budget compliance
- Conduct timely 90-day and annual performance reviews
- Ensure staff follow all HPM, OSHA, MIOSHA, and licensing standards
- Provide ongoing coaching to maintain cleaning quality and infection-control best practices
- Monitor apartments for disallowed items (extension cords, candles, frayed cords, unsafe storage, slip hazards, etc.)
- Ensure resident closet storage complies with 18” clearance below sprinkler heads
- Check refrigerator temperatures and monitor food safety in resident rooms
- Maintain supply inventory, order needed materials, and stay within budget
- Assist Maintenance staff with resident moves as needed
- Serve as a goodwill ambassador for the community
- Participate in community and family events
- Participate in weekend/evening Manager on Duty (MOD) rotation
- Lead or support at least one resident life enrichment activity per month
- Follow Life Safety policies and participate in drills
- Report hazards to the Maintenance Supervisor (urgent: verbal; routine: work order)
- Treat all residents with dignity, respect, and compassion
- Observe and report any change in resident condition to the Shift Supervisor
- Comply with infection control protocols, Resident Rights, and confidentiality
- Collaborate with staff across all shifts
- Other duties as required to support community objectives

- Move furniture and boxes safely
- Communicate clearly in writing and verbally
- Emotional stability to support residents with chronic illness, dementia, or end-of-life circumstances
