About the Job:
We are looking for a reliable Line Cook who takes pride in their work and a job well done. A sense of energy, passion, integrity, honesty, great attendance, and personal responsibility.
- Able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and day and night shifts.
- Work an average of 30 to 35 hours per week
- Prepare food items by cutting, chopping, mixing.
- Cook food items by grilling, frying, sautéing, and other cooking methods
- Able to expedite food orders/tickets in timely manner.
- Maintain cleanliness and complies with food sanitation requirements by properly handling food and ensuring correct storage.
- Clean and sanitize cooking surfaces at the end of the shift.
- Stock food items and other necessary supplies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sets up and stocks food items and other necessary supplies.
- Prepares food items by cutting, chopping, mixing
- Cooks food items by grilling, frying, sautéing, and other cooking methods
- Must be able to expedite tickets in timely manner.
- Maintain cleanliness and complies with food sanitation requirements by properly handling food and ensuring correct storage.
- Cleans and sanitizes cooking surfaces at the end of the shift.
- 1-3 years cooking experience in a restaurant, hotel, or resort.
- Safe serve certified or able to obtain.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Experience working as a line cook in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong multitasking and organizational skills.
- Good understanding of ingredients, recipes, kitchen safety and hygiene.
- Passionate about culinary arts and creative cooking.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Familiar with general kitchen equipment and appliances.
- Able to follow instructions accurately and efficiently.
- Able to perform well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Physically able to stand and move around for long periods of time.
- Able to lift up to 40 pounds.
Compensation:
Hourly Pay Rate Range | $14 - $16 | Commensurate with Experience
