Responsibilities
- Safely handle and transport food from the kitchen to dining areas, ensuring dishes are presented beautifully and at the correct temperature
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including plating and garnishing to meet quality standards
- Communicate clearly with kitchen staff and servers using effective communication skills to relay guest orders and special requests
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of service stations, including bussing tables and clearing dishes efficiently
- Support the kitchen team by adhering to food safety protocols and handling food in accordance with health regulations
- Use POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS to process orders quickly and accurately when required
- Provide excellent guest service by responding promptly to guest needs and ensuring a smooth flow of service
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is highly preferred
- Knowledge of food handling, safety procedures, and proper sanitation practices
- Experience with food preparation, plating, or culinary tasks is a plus
- Familiarity with POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS enhances efficiency
- Strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and guests
- Ability to stand for extended periods, move quickly, and lift moderate loads comfortably
- Prior banquet experience or hotel/hospitality background is advantageous
