Expo/Food Runner

In this vital role, you will serve as the crucial link between the kitchen and front-of-house service staff, ensuring that food is delivered promptly, accurately, and with presentation that delights. Your enthusiasm and efficiency will contribute to a lively, guest-focused atmosphere that keeps our restaurant buzzing with positive energy.

Responsibilities

• Safely handle and transport food from the kitchen to dining areas, ensuring dishes are presented beautifully and at the correct temperature
• Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including plating and garnishing to meet quality standards
• Communicate clearly with kitchen staff and servers using effective communication skills to relay guest orders and special requests
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of service stations, including bussing tables and clearing dishes efficiently
• Support the kitchen team by adhering to food safety protocols and handling food in accordance with health regulations
• Use POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS to process orders quickly and accurately when required
• Provide excellent guest service by responding promptly to guest needs and ensuring a smooth flow of service

Requirements

• Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is highly preferred
• Knowledge of food handling, safety procedures, and proper sanitation practices
• Experience with food preparation, plating, or culinary tasks is a plus
• Familiarity with POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS enhances efficiency
• Strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and guests
• Ability to stand for extended periods, move quickly, and lift moderate loads comfortably
• Prior banquet experience or hotel/hospitality background is advantageous
• Demonstrated commitment to customer service excellence and hospitality standards

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
