APPLE INC has the following available in Cupertino , California and various unanticipated locations throughout the USA. Plan worldwide AppleCare inventory for iPhone/Watch parts and execute weekly new buy and repair decisions. Provide planning directions to a team of regional planners around the execution of weekly Purchasing Orders and weekly production schedules at the factory. Set up parameters to optimize inventory while minimizing inventory buy costs and maximizing repairs. Provide Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) production prioritization for future builds based on supply plans. Provide OEMs with a weekly updated forecast for the next 6 months of supply requirements. Responsible for Fill Rate, Backlog, Weeks of Supply, and forecast accuracy metrics. Review Clear to Build (CTB) and secure allocation of material when there is a shortage from different teams and suppliers. Review weekly demand trends with the demand planning team to plan for churn. Generate financial guidance and forecast for future quarters. Review Spend vs. Budget that has been reviewed and approved by AppleCare executive management. Identify inventory opportunities for AppleCare business such as seed stock for third parties and excess inventory for refurbished and as-is sales. Maintain master data integrity within planning systems and initiate Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) as needed. Train new team members and ensure smooth on-boarding to the team. Subject matter expert in planning systems/tools and reporting tools. Perform UAT for system/tool enhancements and work with IS&T/support on issues. 40 hours/week. At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $162,885 - $214,100/yr and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Minimum Qualifications: Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Information Systems, Operations Management or related field and 3 years of experience in the job offered or related occupation. 2 years of experience with each of the following skills is required: Executing global service-parts supply planning by calculating weekly buy and repair quantities using demand forecasts, on-hand inventory positions, and defined service-level targets. Developing and executing weekly multi-region supply plans, translating approved forecasts into purchasing and production quantities for external manufacturing partners. Defining, maintaining, and optimizing inventory planning parameters, including safety stock levels, reorder points, and repair-versus-buy decision logic to balance availability and cost. Building and managing rolling multi-month supply forecasts for manufacturers, incorporating lead times, capacity constraints, and demand variability to support production prioritization. Analyzing and monitoring service supply chain performance metrics, including fill rate, backlog, weeks of supply, and forecast accuracy, and implementing corrective planning actions. Performing material allocation and shortage management by evaluating build readiness and allocating constrained supply across competing regional and product priorities. Preparing and analyzing inventory and supply financial forecasts, including inventory valuation, procurement spend, and repair cost projections for quarterly planning cycles. Monitoring and evaluating inventory spend versus approved budgets, identifying variance drivers, and supporting financial governance and review processes. Providing functional guidance and onboarding support to supply-planning team members by training on planning processes, execution standards, and system workflows to ensure consistent weekly execution.
