We work on the client-side of iCloud services, building the foundations for a secure and private cloud from device to device encrypted storage in the cloud to protected computation. Apple’s commitment to privacy runs deep and this team is key to extending this commitment to the cloud. nnThis position will involve close collaboration with the CloudKit team, several teams working on server components as well as Apple’s Cryptography and Privacy teams. This job entails both low-level (C/Objective C, libdispatch, POSIX APIs) and system-level skills (synchronization protocols, framework design, IPCs, multi-process performance work, system-wide resource sharing.) Reliability is essential, and we’re looking for engineers with a real passion for building complex systems that will seamlessly recover in the event of errors.
Minimum Qualifications
5 years of software engineering experience with strong programming skills in Objective-C and/or SwiftnExperience building on Apple Platforms (macOS, iOS, watchOS, tvOS, etc.) nExperience in building system-level frameworks and APIsnExcellent communicationnBachelor's Degree in an engineering-related field or equivalent related experience
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in Swift concurrencynAbility to build relationships with diverse groups of peoplenExperience with Event-based programming or inter-process communication is a plusnProven track record of working on rapid development cycles and shipping software on tight schedules

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role.
