We are looking for exceptional engineers who specialize in building resilient, fault-tolerant distributed systems. In this role, you will take deep technical ownership of a high-throughput, multi-tenant platform. You will drive projects completely end-to-end, from initial architecture and design reviews through to seamless production releases. Leveraging your strong technical background and deep understanding of scalable backend architectures, you will ensure our services meet strict requirements for scalability, high availability, and low latency. Beyond just writing code, you will act as a key partner to teams across Apple, translating complex requirements into robust backend solutions that directly enable new customer-facing features.
Minimum Qualifications:
5 years of experience developing software in Java, including advanced object-oriented design and development
Demonstrated experience building and operating distributed systems with strict requirements for scalability, high availability, and low latency
Experience working with distributed NoSQL and relational database technologies
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong fundamentals in storage systems
Familiarity with high-performance caching mechanisms
Familiarity with event streaming and queueing systems
Prior experience with media processing
Hands-on experience working with Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools and technologies
Strong problem-solving skills
