Two (2) Professional Letters of Recommendation from current or former supervisors and/or coworkers, physically signed (wet signature) and dated within the past year. Valid Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR Certification required. Online-only certifications and BLS (Basic Life Support - CPR/AED) cards WILL NOT be accepted. Certification must show that Pediatric (Child) CPR as included. **Proof of registration for an upcoming in-person First Aid/CPR course may be submitted in lieu of a certification card.** **Submitting documents that appear to be altered, falsified, or manipulated may disqualify applicants from the current recruitment and from future employment opportunities with AVUSD.**
Preferred Qualifications: 1. Associates Degree preferred 2. Supplemental coursework or experience in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) or behavior modification techniques highly desirable. 3. Certification as a Registered Behavior Technician as issued by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) preferred. 4. Copies of transcripts, if applicable. *A fully completed application and all required attachments must be submitted in order to be considered for this position. Applications missing any required documentation will be automatically screened out. *Current employees must have evaluations in good standing and may not be under active disciplinary action to be eligible for consideration. *Applicants must be physically and mentally able to perform the essential duties of the position safely and without hazard to themselves or others. REQUIRED UPON HIRE - DO NOT INCLUDE WITH APPLICATION: 1. Proof of freedom from tuberculosis (TB test) 2. Valid California Driver's License. 3. Valid Social Security Card or other acceptable proof of identity and employment eligibility. 4. Candidates selected for employment must complete fingerprinting through the District at their own expense and receive clearance from the California Department of Justice (DOJ), the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), and the California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) prior to beginning employment. Fingerprinting fees are set by the DOJ & FBI are non-reimbursable.
