Responsibilities
- Implement age-appropriate music and preschool curriculum plans that foster creativity, social skills, and early childhood development.
- Prepare and organize classroom materials, musical instruments, and educational resources for daily activities.
- Deliver engaging lessons that incorporate singing, movement, rhythm exercises, and basic literacy and numeracy concepts.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively through positive reinforcement and consistent behavior management techniques
- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a smooth transition between substitute and regular teachers, maintaining classroom routines.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding children's progress, behavior, and participation in activities.
Skills
- Knowledge of curriculum development, lesson planning, and early childhood education a plus.
- Experience in teaching or tutoring young children within preschool or early elementary settings preferred but willing to train the right candidate.
- Familiarity with classroom management strategies and behavior management techniques tailored for young learners.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and team members.
- Ability to adapt quickly to different classroom environments while maintaining high energy levels.

- Full time staff starts out at $15.40 per hour.
- Hours are 8:00 am to 4:00 pm Monday through Friday.
