Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and adaptable Child Care Center Float to join our vibrant team! In this role, you will serve as a versatile team member, providing flexible support across classrooms and helping ensure a smooth, engaging experience for every child. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help foster a warm, safe, and stimulating environment for children of various ages and needs.
Responsibilities
- Assist in supervising children across different age groups, including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
- Support classroom teachers by implementing activities aligned with early childhood education principles and childhood development best practices
- Provide care for children requiring special attention, including working with individuals with disabilities and managing behavior with positive guidance techniques
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting classroom environment that promotes learning and exploration
- Respond promptly to children's needs, including feeding, diapering, nap times, and comfort requests
- Follow all health and safety protocols, including first aid procedures when necessary
- Collaborate with team members to create a cohesive and supportive childcare community
Qualifications
- Experience working with children in daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying, or classroom settings
- Knowledge of early childhood education practices and childhood development milestones
- Certifications in first aid and CPR are highly preferred; ongoing training is encouraged
- Ability to work effectively with individuals with disabilities and adapt activities accordingly
- Strong behavior management skills to promote positive interactions among children
- Passion for caring for children and supporting their growth through engaging activities
- Flexibility to support different classroom needs and schedules as a float staff member
