Manage the admission process: complete required documentation, lease/contract paperwork, rate/consent forms, and orientation for new residents and their families/POA. Assist residents and families with adjustment to assisted-living environment; provide support during transition, answer questions, offer guidance, reassurance and resources. Act as liaison between residents, families, facility staff, and external service providers — coordinating community resources, social services, health services, and other support as needed. Plan, coordinate, and support social, recreational, or wellness programs/events to promote resident engagement, socialization, and quality of life. Maintain accurate resident records, files, and log services, communications, and any referrals/support given. Advocate for residents: ensure their rights, preferences, privacy, and dignity are respected; support resident councils or family councils if applicable. Assist with move-outs / discharges when needed, coordinating paperwork, family/POA communication, and ensuring a smooth transition. Qualifications of working as a Resident Relation CoordinatorHigh school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s/Bachelor’s degree (Social Work, Human Services, Business Admin, or related) preferred. 1 Previous experience in senior living, assisted living, social services, property/resident services, or customer-service oriented roles — ideally 1 year.Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy and professionalism.Ability to build trust and positive relationships with seniors and their families.Ability to coordinate multiple tasks: tours, admissions, records, events, referrals.Familiarity or willingness to learn about assisted-living regulations, resident rights, and safety/ privacy protocols.Proficiency with record-keeping (computer, database, or property/resident management software).Santa Anita Retirement Center is an equal opportunity employer and makes employment decisions on the basis of merit.
