Job Description:
The Housekeeping/ Laundry Supervisor provides quality housekeeping and Laundry services, and a clean, orderly and safe environment for all facility residents and staff.
As defined in job routines or department instructions, the Housekeeping/ Laundry Supervisor works on the floor as a Housekeeper for 24 hours and completes Administrative work 16 hours a week- for a total of 40 hours.
cleans assigned areas of the facility, included but not limited to: resident rooms and bathrooms, on a scheduled basis to meet high standards of cleanliness, infection control, safety and hazardous communication program. The Housekeeping/Laundry Supervisor plans efficient use of time, cooperates with all other staff and performs responsibilities with minimum disruption to the residents and staff. Maintains a clean, orderly work area and department. The Housekeeping/ Laundry Supervisor assists in maintaining adequate supplies needed in the department.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Ability to read labels and follow oral and written instructions in English.
- Ability to remain calm in stressful situations and to take appropriate action.
- Ability to visually assess all aspects of facility. Ability to distinguish smells and temperatures and to hear and respond to pages.
- Ability to walk, reach, bend, lift, grasp, pull, stretch, stoop and have fine hand coordination.
