Job Description:
Part Time 24 Hours/ Week Including Every Other Weekend
The Housekeeping Aide provides quality housekeeping services, and a clean, orderly and safe environment for all facility residents and staff.
As defined in job routines or department instructions, the Housekeeping Aide cleans assigned areas of the facility, included but not limited to: resident rooms and bathrooms, on a scheduled basis to meet high standards of cleanliness, infection control, safety and hazardous communication program. The Housekeeping Aide plans efficient use of time, cooperates with all other staff and performs responsibilities with minimum disruption to the residents and staff. Maintains a clean, orderly work area and department. The Housekeeping Aide assists in maintaining adequate supplies needed in the department.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Ability to read labels and follow oral and written instructions in English.
- Ability to remain calm in stressful situations and to take appropriate action.
- Ability to visually assess all aspects of facility.
- Ability to distinguish smells and temperatures and to hear and respond to pages.
- Ability to walk, reach, bend, lift, grasp, pull, stretch, stoop and have fine hand coordination.
- Ability to lift and move furniture and heavy items weighing approximately 40 pounds.
- Previous experience in a hospital or long term care facility preferred.
