Role Overview
The HR Business Partner serves as a strategic partner to regional leadership, supporting day‑to‑day HR operations while ensuring compliance with state and federal employment laws. This role provides hands‑on guidance in employee relations, performance management, talent development, and HR compliance. The HRBP also leads and supports regional HR staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with leaders to align people strategies with business goals
- Coach managers on employee relations, performance issues, and HR best practices
- Lead and conduct employee investigations and resolve workplace concerns
- Support onboarding, performance management, and talent initiatives
- Ensure compliance with state and federal employment regulations
- Oversee payroll coordination, personnel records, and employee status changes
- Manage and develop regional HR staff
Preferred Skills
- Strong knowledge of California & federal employment laws (Wage & Hour, FMLA, CFRA, ADA, Title VII)
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem‑solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; ADP experience a plus
