Responsibilities:
- Draft and prepare legal documents including pleadings, motions, affidavits, and resolutions
- Conduct in-depth legal research using WESTLAW and assist with case law analysis
- Manage court filings in both state and federal jurisdictions
- Provide support during depositions and prepare attorneys for trial
- Conduct public records searches and assist with administrative filings
- Coordinate all aspects of discovery, including document review and production
- Maintain client communications under attorney supervision
- Accurately track and record billable hours
Qualifications:
- 6 years of experience as a paralegal in defense litigation
- Expertise in Florida Rules of Civil Procedure and e-filing protocols
- Strong legal research and analytical skills
- Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities
- Proficiency with eDiscovery platforms such as Trial Director, Logikcull, Relativity, etc.
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and skilled at managing multiple priorities
- Professional presence and commitment to teamwork
