The ASE Observability team is responsible for designing, building, and operating the core observability platforms\\nthat enable engineering organizations at Apple to monitor, debug, and optimize infrastructure and systems at scale.\\nWe develop platform solutions that provide comprehensive visibility into application performance, system health,\\nand operational metrics across the entire technology stack.\\nWe are on a journey to continue building our next-generation observability platform with new capabilities like\\nDistributed Tracing, Logging and Continuous profiling.
Your responsibilities will include : Requirement gathering across cross functional teams Developing practical, fault-tolerant high-performance distributed systems. Leading and participating in technical design discussions acrosscross functional teams. Gain in-depth understanding of the observability domain and come up with creative ideas in the domain. Willingness to lead an independent research in the field of work. Mentor other engineers in the team. Experience and insight into designing, implementing and supporting highly scalable infrastructure services.\n5 to 15 years of industry experience in building and maintaining backend distributed systems.\nDeep understanding of core computer science concepts including data structures, algorithms, and concurrent\nprogramming.\nStrong attention to detail and excellent analytical capabilities.\nPassion for developing and testing clear, robust code.\nAbility to learn and apply new technologies and frameworks.\nGreat communication skills.
Familiarity with OpenTelemetry and OSS tools in the Observability space\nProficient in one of Java, Rust is desirable.\nFamiliarity with Kubernetes on Linux is a plus.
