Senior Perception Engineering Manager - Special Projects

We work in a fast-paced, startup-like environment where you will be part of every stage of development. You'll often work cross-functionally with other software teams, user interface designers, product marketing, and privacy engineers from concept phase to deployment.\n\nAs the manager of the perception team, you'll have the opportunity to work with a team of highly skilled engineers and scientists to bring new experiences to Apple products.\n\nThis position requires a self-motivated engineering manager with strong technical and interpersonal skills to handle responsibilities including:

MS/PhD in Computer Science, Math, Robotics or related field\n Strong technical background in modern ML based perception systems (VLM, VLA, CNNs, etc.) as well as traditional perception and tracking methods (state estimation, filtering, sensor fusion, etc.)\n 5 years of engineering management experience with a proven track record \n Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills\n Strong software engineering background\n Ability to break down large features and implement practical solutions\n Curiosity about new technologies, flexibility, and openness to ambiguity

Knowledge of robotics software stack and algorithms (i.e. kinematics, optimization, planning methods)\n Strong applied math background (e.g., graphics, vision, optimization, controls, or planning)\n Knowledge of audio processing chains (i.e. DSP, echo cancelation, direction of arrival estimation, etc.)\n Familiarity with Swift and Apple developer tools
