What are the responsibilities and job description for the CAE Engineer position at Apple, Inc.?
We are the Electromechanical Simulation Tools and Solution Team, and our primary objective is to develop and implement workflows and methodologies that ensure FEA simulations are conducted with speed, efficiency, and precision. Through a comprehensive approach, the team guarantees that the hardware engineering teams have access to the most accurate and reliable simulation tools and data, empowering them to achieve excellence in design and performance. Come join our team!\\n\\nWe are seeking a CAE Engineer to create innovative end-to-end modeling and simulation solutions with cross-functional team members for simulation users across hardware engineering teams. These solutions provide early feedback to Apple product design and enable simulation methodologies for current and future designs. You'll be responsible for validation, application support, and scale up of the simulation tools, solutions and workflows. Additionally, we are looking for experience of implementing AI/ML applications to support rapid design iterations using simulation.
This position focuses on workflows and automations for electrical and mechanical simulation in order to inform design decisions of new technologies and designs. We are looking for someone who always strives to learn something new, is a self-starter and can work independently with high levels of success, is excited about solving new challenging problems with innovative solutions.
Master's degree in Engineering or relevant field of study.\n5 years of related work or relevant academic experience.\nGood understanding of simulation workflow CAD > Simulation > Analysis\nExperience with simulation tools such as Ansys, Abaqus, CST, Comsol etc\nExpertise in AI/ML methodologies for system level engineering simulations
PhD degree in Engineering or relevant field of study.\nDeep understanding of electrical, mechanical and multi-physics simulations.\nKnowledge of 3D modeling and finite element analysis (FEA) methods.\nExperience of finite element/multi-physics tools in domains such as signal and power integrity, desense, RF, electro-magnetics, structural mechanics etc.\nExperience in the use of AI/ML techniques (e.g. PINN) to improve and refine models.\nFamiliarity with automation and workflow processes and scripting languages (e.g., Python, MATLAB).\nExcellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills
