Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Lead Infant Teacher to join our vibrant early childhood education team. Duties
- Plan and execute developmentally appropriate curriculum tailored to infants’ individual needs, promoting early childhood development milestones.
- Supervise and care for infants ensuring their safety, comfort, and emotional well-being at all times.
- Maintain accurate records of each child's progress, daily activities, and health information in accordance with licensing requirements.
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns in a clear and positive manner.
- Lead classroom management efforts to create an organized, engaging, and nurturing environment that encourages curiosity and exploration.
- Ensure all staff follow health and safety protocols including first aid, CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), pediatric first aid, mandated reporting laws, and sanitation standards.
- Mentor and support assistant teachers or caregivers in implementing best practices for infant care and classroom management.
- Collaborate with team members to plan special activities that promote social-emotional development, motor skills, language acquisition, and sensory exploration.
- Uphold licensing regulations related to childcare, childhood development standards, diapering procedures, and emergency procedures.
- Foster positive relationships with families through ongoing communication about their child's experiences and developmental progress.
Experience
- Proven experience working with infants in a childcare or daycare setting is essential; preschool or toddler care experience is highly valued.
- Demonstrated knowledge of child development instruction principles specific to early childhood education.
- Prior classroom experience managing infant or toddler groups in licensed daycare centers or similar environments.
- Familiarity with behavior management techniques suitable for young children to promote positive interactions.
- Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a plus; knowledge of special education strategies is beneficial.
- Certification in first aid, CPR (including pediatric first aid), and mandated reporting laws is required or must be obtained upon hire.
- Strong communication skills for parent engagement and team collaboration are essential for success in this role.
