What are the responsibilities and job description for the Laboratory Driver/Courier position at AppLabs of West Virginia Diagnostic Laboratory?
Responsibilities:
- Afternoons & Evenings
- Safely and efficiently operate a courier vehicle to pick up diagnostic laboratory specimens from designated locations
- Follow assigned routes and schedules to ensure timely pickup and safe delivery to the lab
- Load and unload supplies as they are delivered to active clients
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, communicate with clients and other lab employees to ensure all samples are gathered at their designated time while lending flexibility to client schedules and needs
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while driving
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure proper functioning
Skills:
- Valid driver's license with a clean 5-year driving record, no history of DUI, no history of reckless driving
- Familiarity with route driving and navigating various locations
- Ability to load and unload supplies of varying sizes and weights
- Excellent time management skills to meet delivery deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in recording delivery information
