What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Performance Engineer position at AppLab Systems, Inc?
Candidate proficient/comfortable profiling Java apps using jprofiler, using JFR and other tools for heap and thread dumps
5-8 years of experience in performance testing and engineering
Austin, TX (Onsite)
W2 contract only
Hands-on experience with JMeter, Bean shell Scripting, Splunk, etc.,(Mandatory)
Expertise in test planning, workload design, test environment setup and test data creation
Experience executing performance testing engagements with minimal or no supervision
Experience with testing web-based applications and thick client applications
Understanding of Middleware and Database related Operating System-level metrics (to track down Performance Issues)
Good understanding of Cloud Infrastructure (Preferably AWS) and its performance testing scenarios
Prior experience with Server and Client OS based technologies, including Linux OS
