Appian is looking for an Associate Application Engineer (Associate Application Developer (Appian Platform)) to develop large-scale, internal applications that support Appian employees around the world. In this role, you will become an expert on our software, working directly with internal stakeholders throughout the entire life-cycle of projects to define, design, and implement business process based solutions.
This role is based at our h eadquarters in McLean, Virginia. Appian was built on a culture of in-person collaboration, which we believe is a key driver of our mission to be the best. Employees hired for this position are expected to be in the office 5 days a week to foster that culture and ensure we continue to thrive through shared ideas and teamwork. To Be Successful In This Role, You Need
- To leverage experience in a range of critical process improvement disciplines, including business process management, knowledge management, personalization, business intelligence, and application integration on the Appian platform
- To utilize a varied skill set and experience to construct, implement, and deploy process-centric business process management solutions based on Appian software
- To analyze a client’s business strategy, their business processes, and develop technical solutions to support their business strategy
- To design prototypes, model business processes, and analyze requirements
- To implement quality assurance plans, load testing and roll-out plans
- To triage and troubleshoot production issues and provide ongoing support to various business applications
- To have excellent communication skills and a solid foundation of, or passion for, technology
- B.S./B.A. in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, or a related technical field.
- Experience with cloud computing technologies like AWS.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with a passion for AI-driven innovation.
- Professional English proficiency
- Exceptional communication and customer management skills (verbal/written)
