The Production Filler is responsible for safely and accurately filling, labeling, and packaging blended chemical products according to company specifications and quality standards. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety procedures, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate filling and packaging equipment to fill containers (e.g., drums, pails, totes, bottles) with blended chemical products.
- Follow batch sheets and production orders to ensure accurate product identification, weights, and labeling.
- Inspect containers, labels, and filled products for quality and compliance with specifications.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area and equipment.
- Safely handle and transfer chemicals using pumps, hoses, and other equipment.
- Record production data and complete required documentation accurately and on time.
- Assist with loading and unloading materials, as well as staging products for shipment.
- Comply with all safety, environmental, and company policies and procedures, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Participate in ongoing safety and quality training.
- Report equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, or quality issues to the supervisor immediately.
Basic Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience in chemical blending, filling, or manufacturing preferred.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with production equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret production documents, safety data sheets (SDS), and labels.
- Strong attention to detail and quality control.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English.
- Must be able to lift, move, and carry up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Ability to stand, bend, reach, and walk for extended periods.
- Comfortable working in a production environment where exposure to chemicals, noise, and temperature variations may occur.
- Full-time, [Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM]
- Occasional overtime may be required based on production needs.
