Job Summary:
Appalachian Pest Control is looking for a Pest Control Technician committed to serving the community and working among a team. The successful candidate will complete paid training with a qualified and certified trainer with the company. The technician will be able to follow a route scheduled within assigned territory, ensuring timely and safe travel for each customer. The technician will follow all safety measurements and ensure customer satisfaction for pest management programs.
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Work closely with other Pest Control Technicians using industry standard pest management software to maintain and update client accounts.
· Pest Control – Conduct inspections to determine the source of pest activity.
· Perform pest treatments and install products to create a pest-free environment.
· Follow a route schedule within assigned territory.
· Communicate with customers regarding pest management programs.
· Complete all required service documentation in a defined timely manner.
· Participate and maintain all continued education State certification requirements.
· Lift and carry up to 50lbs.
· Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Solid reading, writing, and verbal communication skills.
- Basic Math Skills.
- Ability to work under leadership and within a team.
- Ability to follow instructions and route sheet.
- Ability to function well with the public.
Education and Qualifications:
· Minimum High school diploma or equivalent.
· Available to work Monday-Friday.
· Open to learning and becoming knowledgeable in pest control.
· Successfully meet the pre-employment background screening.
· Valid Driver’s License and undergo motor vehicle driving record check.
· Previous pest control experience strongly encouraged!
