Minimum Qualifications
Graduation from high school; Combination of education and experience.
Relevant experience – This position requires the ability to utilize office technology and maintain a professional disposition, manage general office duties such as preparation of documents, updating and maintaining accurate records, creating and maintaining electronic files, distributing office mail, greeting visitors, making and answering calls (professional phone etiquette), responding to emails, assisting with inventory, and other administrative duties as assigned.

Essential Job Functions
Serve as administrative and operational support for Transfer Admissions & Engagement. As the first point of contact (visit, email, phone), the person in this position will ensure the highest quality of customer service to students, parents, staff, faculty and campus partners. The position will use a variety of technology platforms including Google suite, Microsoft Office, and internal software systems.
Communication – Verbal: Greets visitors and answers multi-line phone calls. Researches answers to questions, troubleshooting when necessary, and directs inquiries to appropriate office/staff for assistance as needed. Makes outgoing calls to applicants in all stages of the admissions process (from the awaiting submission stage to completed enrollment).
Communication – Written: Monitors one shared departmental email account, develops responses and routes emails to staff as appropriate. Logs interactions with students using internal CRM system.
Information/ Records Administration: Utilizes a variety of Excel and Google spreadsheets for departmental data tracking. Assists with physical inventory for the department. Monitors office supplies and informs purchaser when items are needed.
Office Technology: Utilizes Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite. Occasionally submits technology support tickets. Uses office equipment (e.g., copier, scanner, multi-line phone).
The person in this position will become proficient with systems such as: Slate CRM , DegreeWorks, Banner, Docuware, etc.
Problem Solving: Helps resolve student/customer issues or complaints by gaining a base knowledge of various university resources and admissions / credit evaluation policies. Applies judgment in resolving problems with delegated level of authority. Transfers inquiries to other members of the department as necessary.
Work Coordination: Serves in an assistant/ support role to departmental staff by coordinating work duties and serving as a back-up where necessary. Supports departmental directors with occasional programs and events. Coordinates incoming/ outgoing mail and deliveries. Distributes documents and other items to various campus offices. Performs light cleaning of the front office area. Completes special projects as assigned. Other appropriate duties as assigned by supervisor.
Preferred Qualifications
Desired skills and abilities: outgoing; must enjoy working with people; collaborative; patient; flexible; well organized; adaptable.
The ideal candidate will have:
30 maximum hours per week- Work beyond 30 hours would need to be pre-approved
